YOUR IMPACT

Position Overview
The Business Development (BD) role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships with institutional partners and prospective clients. The BD will serve as the primary point of contact for institutional partners in our referral network and communicate our value proposition to those partners and prospective clients.

The BD works in a client-focused, team-centered environment, working closely with our relationship managers as a contributor to both the firm’s business development efforts and client service. This role requires a combination of financial expertise, interpersonal skills, and business development acumen.


HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Build and develop relationships with key institutional and business partners
  • Highly proficient sales professional with track record of closing business by demonstrating the firm’s value to the client.
  • Analyze competitor landscape and market conditions to refine business development strategies
  • Conduct meetings and presentations with institutional partners and prospective clients to drive new business
  • Ability to converse at a high level about all things related to equity/bond markets and general economic conditions.
  • Collaborate across the firm with management, portfolio managers, operations, financial planners, and relationship managers to align strategies and ensure cohesive efforts
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential clients and track progress through Salesforce
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to effectively advise prospective clients and mitigate risks.
  • Competitive but highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Capacity to achieve sales goals


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • Seven years as a Registered Investment Advisor representative or licensed Registered Representative for a full-service broker dealer
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A./B.S.) from accredited college or university
  • Series 65 (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus

The Relationship Manager (RM) works directly with our high-net-worth clients. The RM works in a client-focused, team-centered environment as a contributor to both the firm’s client service and business development efforts.

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing personalized financial guidance and delivering comprehensive wealth management solutions. This role requires a combination of financial expertise, interpersonal skills, and business development acumen.


HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Ensure retention of and deepen the relationship with our firm’s clients
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and unique circumstances.
  • Collaborate with management, our portfolio managers, operations, and financial planners to deliver full-service, integrated financial management for our clients
  • Provide ongoing portfolio management and investment advice, monitoring performance and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen client relationships, increase wallet share and expand business through referrals and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to effectively advise clients and mitigate risks.
