CORDA In the Community

At CORDA, smart investments aren’t just about wealth management—they’re about people. We are committed to investing in our community by giving our time, resources, and support to organizations that create meaningful change. Whether through hands-on volunteering or financial contributions, we focus on three key areas: expanding education and economic opportunity; supporting basic needs like food, healthcare, and housing; and protecting the environment. Our contributions extend from local initiatives in Houston to global efforts that improve lives worldwide. On this page, we’re proud to highlight the organizations we support and the causes we believe in.

Doing Our Part to Get Involved and Volunteer

Volunteering is a powerful way to strengthen our community and support those in need. From helping at the local food bank to sponsoring high school students through the Houston Rodeo, our team is committed to making a difference together.

Organizations We Support

We strive to create lasting change by supporting organizations that help those in need, expand opportunities, and protect the environment. Through donations and volunteer efforts, we are proud to contribute to their meaningful work. By highlighting these organizations, we hope to inspire others to learn more, get involved, and make a difference.

SEARCH Homeless Services works to break the cycle of homelessness in Houston by providing housing, job training, and critical support services. CORDA is proud to sponsor the University of Houston’s involvement in Barron’s Investing in Education program, an initiative that provides students and faculty with complimentary access to financial education resources. As a leading institution with a diverse student body, many UH students come from underrepresented backgrounds and face financial challenges. By supporting UH, CORDA is investing in our local community and helping equip students with the knowledge and tools to build successful careers in finance.

In addition to hosting one of the largest rodeos in the world, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ supports community programs and youth initiatives that help shape future generations. Through its scholarship program, the organization has awarded millions in educational funding to Texas students. CORDA is proud to support these efforts by sponsoring a Texas teen in the Calf Scramble event, which provides high school participants with scholarship funds to further their agricultural education.

The Galveston Bay Foundation works to protect and preserve Galveston Bay through conservation, advocacy, education, and research. Their efforts help safeguard the bay’s natural resources, ensuring a healthy ecosystem for wildlife and future generations. By restoring wetlands, improving water quality, and promoting sustainable practices, they play a vital role in maintaining one of Texas’ most important coastal environments.

The Sierra Club is dedicated to preserving natural spaces and promoting clean air and water for communities across the country. The organization works to protect the outdoors through conservation efforts, public education, and initiatives that encourage responsible stewardship of the environment.

The Children’s Cancer Research Fund is dedicated to funding groundbreaking research and innovative treatments to improve outcomes for children with cancer. For the past three years, CORDA has proudly supported this cause at the annual Forbes Conference, in partnership with Shook, reinforcing our commitment to advancing critical healthcare initiatives. By investing in pediatric cancer research, we are helping create a future where every child has the chance to overcome cancer and thrive.

Partners In Health is a global nonprofit that works to expand access to high-quality healthcare in underserved communities. Kiva is a nonprofit organization that expands financial access for underserved communities worldwide. Through a crowdfunding model, individuals can lend as little as $25 to entrepreneurs, students, and small business owners who lack access to traditional banking. By supporting Kiva, CORDA is helping empower individuals to achieve financial independence and strengthen their communities.
