Joe is a portfolio analyst on the portfolio management team. Originally earning his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst he worked the early portion of his career in the defense industry. First at Electric Boat working on commissioned submarines and then working closely with the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Philadelphia Division on the surface fleet. However, a longtime interest in personal finance led to the decision to move out of engineering and into the financial world. Today he brings that engineering fastidiousness and attention to detail to the portfolio room when researching new businesses and opportunities.
Outside of the office, Joe enjoys hiking, playing softball and spending time with his fiancé and puppy as well as playing the banjo, piano, and reading.
